This site will contain my candid observations of the world around me.

I was listening to the Euro 2004 yesterday, enjoying a match England all but had wrapped up in stoppage time. But all of a sudden those scumbag French came back and tied it!! To make things worse, England gives them a penalty kick a minute later and the collapse was complete!!

We shoulda never helped those pussies out 60 years ago!! The French are ungrateful bastards that oughta be kissing the feet of Americans and Brits alike. The only thing those wimps are good at is soccer. Yes I'm an American and the rest of the world couldn't hang with our brand of football.

I'm just disappointed that England didn't pull out the victory and I hope they redeem themselves on Wednesday. Italy didn't do me any favors either. But they are traditionally slow starters and I'm confident they will muster up offense and beat Sweden on Friday.

I challenge that remark wholeheartedly!!!

If your football is so hardcore... why the devil do they all wear sooo much padding like big girls??? play Aussie Rules Football... that is a real mans game!!!

Also, I dont think England choked, they weren't really expected to win anyways, and if i was Sven Goran Erikson, i would take a fair amount of heart from that result! it will inspire the confidence needed to beat Croatia and Switzerland... England have also NEVER won an opening game in the European championships, so there really isn't anything to fear!

As for Italy... I didn't watch the game, but yhey are slow starters, and i imagine they would be happy to go through the entire tournament on draws if it were possible!!! Sweden were certainly impressive though, and that kind of win makes it harder for either Italy or Denmark to progress!!!

I love football!!!!! (soccer )

BAM!!!

They do play Aussie rules football here but nobody cares about it. As a matter of fact, no one gives a shit about soccer either. As for Italy, they are a much more established squad than England ever dreamed of being. I like England, but Italy clearly has more talent.

The guys who play football here can weigh up to 350 lbs. and run a 4.5 forty and will knock you into tomorrow. I love the Aussie rules game but the players are bigger and faster in the NFL.

I hope England can get it together and advance and I hope Sweden isn't as good as they appeared to be in their opener.

They maybe slightly better than England, but more established, I don't think so, and they are that slow at starting, they sometimes forget to completely! Ok, whinge over! Italy are a good team, have a chance of ewinning this tournament, but I can't see it somehow but you never know in football!

Agreed

I agree with you on those sentiments. I'm just a little biased toward Italy because my grandfather was from Italy and I've always rooted for them. I love watching England because they have the best fans in the world hands down, no doubt about it!! There is no better set of fans on the planet. With that being said, I'd love to see England hoist the Cup if Italy can't.

ooooh I like you! Hehe, you should check out Muggaz blog, and see our rantings about the championship there! The fans are good, though they get a little over excited at times, and tend to give us a bad name! Italy aren't a bad side, whoever wins the championship will have to beat France first, we'll just have to see if their forms improved! Oooh Italian men are lurvly!

You are so right!! Unfortunately I remember a colossal collapse by the Azzurri in the Euro 2000 final against those slimey French. I just wish there some interest over here in the US because I can't even watch the games. But I'm a big enough fan that I can sit here and listen to the matches on my computer. I can't wait to listen to the Germany/Holland game. I like Holland too (I know that's sacrilege in England) because they've got great support from their fans as well.

The coolest scene I've been apart of was when I was in Brazil during the World Cup in 2002. I was there during part of the Cup and unfortunately had to witness the match Brazil/England match. My wife is Brazilian and I had to "secretly' root for England and was very disappointed when they didn't win.

I'm so jealous! Another example of England choking at the last minute, grrr! The England/Holland game wiil be one to watch, for one reason or other, sadly I don't think it will be all about football! I'd be so upset if I couldn't watch football, I think I'd go crazy!

It gets to be a bit frustrating at times not to be able to watch top-notch world soccer. That all goes by the wayside when the American football season begins. There's nothing better than heading up to Baxter's on Sunday and getting fucked up drinking beer and watching NFL football all day. Halftime is time to bond and get baked with fellow stoners out in someone's car in the parking lot. Sadly our season is still 88 days away and I love watching international soccer. Maybe I oughta fly out to London for a few weeks.

I have to admit a total lack of knowledge when it comes to American football, so I apologise! I'm guessing you get a similar feeling to footy though, the wholke passion you feel for your team, your heart in your throat, as you watch your team, win, lose, nothing beats that rollercoaster of emotions! Do you like any domestic England teams, like Man Utd or arsenal. Or do you just like National Footy?

To tell you the truth I kinda like Manchester City because they're always gonna be the red headed stepchild to Man U. I'm gonna see Chelsea play Celtic on July 24 in Seattle. And yes we really get into our teams here in America. There is both professional and college and both are equally as popular. My favorite pro team is the Oakland Raiders and my favorite college team is the Washington State University Cougars. But the Raidaaa's (as many pronounce them) are my passion.

.....I'm from Manchester, and a firm Man Utd fan, I wouldn't mind Man City if their fans weren't so bitter. i'm sure they'd prefer Man Utd to lose before they saw man City win! The Chelsea game will be fab, though I don't believe in them just throwin money at the game, and hoping to buy success, makes me mad, but that's foootball today!

I'm sorry but I've never heard of them, how ignorant am I? They do become a passion tho, I think I'm slightly obsessed!

I've never been to Europe so I just go by what little I see on TV. I always root for the underdog (except for the Raiders). If you want to learn a little more about the Raiders go to www. raiders.com. The Raiders possess a committment to excellence and a will to win. I have to sit in the Celtic section at the game because the Chelsea section is all sold out. When I go back to Brazil I'm gonna try and see Santos or Sao Paulo play in Goias (Goiania Goias, Brazil). Those are a couple of teams ranked in the world's top 25 club teams.
