Well another Memorial Day is upon us. My fondest memories of Memorial Day are when I was a kid and I'd get the day off of school and a lot of times go camping or something fun like that. Don't get me wrong, I do spend a portion of the day reflecting on the sacrifices of all of our men and women who either in the past, or presently serve our great nation. I usually do this when I'm reading the morning paper or watching the news or something. The rest of the day is spent much like a weekend day. The sad thing is that I don't even have a job where I can rely on having Memorial Day off.
The one thing that sucks about Memorial Day is that Howard Stern takes the day off. I love listening to Howard. He makes me laugh and makes a lot of sense too. I know a lot of people are offended by his completely honest and not always politically correct persona. That's the beauty of Howard, his honesty. I'm gonna miss not hearing him when his contract is up in a year and a half.
